TLDR; Please visit account settings in the app and write down the email you're using with your account to ensure a smooth transition from 1.7 to 1.8. You will be logged out after updating to 1.8 so it's important you remember what email your account is registered under.
With Simply Plural version 1.8 soon releasing we would like to inform you of an important change that will cause you to be logged out after you update to version 1.8 when it releases.
We're moving away from Google Firebase for authentication to increase the privacy of our users, when you update the app you will be logged out of your account and you simply need to log in again, which will log you in to our new authentication system.
Your password and email will remain unchanged during this process and no further action, aside from logging in after updating, will be required from you.
To ensure a smooth transition please go to the app and visit account settings and scroll down to your email, write down your email so you will remember this email when you update the app. If. after updating. you don't remember your password you can request a new password from the login page using "forgot password".
If you don't remember your email after the update you will be able to use the new feature in version 1.8 which is "Forgot email", this will send an email to the email your account is registered under.
If you are currently using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, simply keep using that when you update to version 1.8.
If you participate in the current Beta for Android or Apple you will already have transitioned your account to the new authentication system and you won't need to re-login once version 1.8 goes live to the public.
